Cambridge Renovation Becomes New Business Headquarters

We don’t often get the opportunity to see how our clients use their spaces once we finish the renovation, but recently we learned that one of our transformations has become the headquarters for a new venture. The third-floor space of this historic home was not easily accessible, as seen in the steep ladder-like steps.

A down-to-the-studs renovation resulted in big changes for a Cambridge house, including a central staircase from the basement up to the former attic, now a spacious, light-filled space with plenty of room for working and relaxing. New dormers along the sides of the house flood the space - and staircase - with natural light. The renovation was a collaboration with architects at Murdough Design and interior designer Abbey Flores at A Flores Design.

Introducing Urban Pharm

Urban Pharm, co-founded by Anne Bunn and Jill Forney, was born out of backyard fire pits, gathering with friends, kitchen table conversations, and their belief in the power of food and drink to deeply nourish.

The shrubs are made in a commercial kitchen, while some inventory storage and admin tasks are taking place in the award-winning, renovated third-floor space.
