The team at Kevin Cradock Builders won a Gold PRISM Award from BRAGB, the Greater Boston chapter of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) for The Black & White in Jamaica Plain.

Renovating the kitchen of a JP landmark

The past couple months have been a roller coaster for us. We shut down completely in mid-March when construction was halted in Boston. After a couple weeks of working on a plan to safely resume work, we slowly started jobs back up.

Things are moving along nicely in Marblehead as we near completion. We are just finishing up work on the trellis.

Demolition and foundation work in Lincoln are complete and we are moving through rough carpentry at a nice pace.

We're progressing through finish carpentry, cabinets, tile and stone at Roanoke. It's fun to see the interior of this historic beauty take shape.

Our Shop Foreman Owen hard at work on the red cedar trellis for Marblehead. We used a pretty unique set-up to mortise the column bases for this project. Check out are Instagram Video of our Jig in action.

I'm so excited about our new partnership with The Eliot School. It's a great opportunity for us to do our part in getting the next generation into woodworking.

We're happy to be starting another project with Murdough Design. They've been a great partner on our Cottage project in Cambridge so we already have a great working relationship.

The work we do is what's important. Thorough workmanship, positive proactive communication and a collaborative attitude are our core values. I'm proud of our team for grinding out the work that results in an achievement like this. 

One of the best things about building homes in the Boston area is putting into motion the ideas and visions of some incredible clients, designers, architects, and tradespeople.  As the builder, we create the setting for many professional craftsmen and craftswomen to come together and realize those visions.

Each December we open up our wood shop and offices for a Winter Party. Catered by our good friends and past client, City Feed & Supply, with entertainment by a full jazz band, our annual gathering brings together attendees from all corners of the home building field.
