KCB Wins a 2021 Gold PRISM Award

Kevin Cradock Builders won a Gold PRISM Award from BRAGB, the Greater Boston chapter of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) for their Mooring Guest House in the Best Single FamilyHome: Under 2,000 square feet. Recognized by peers, Kevin Cradock thanked his team, vendors, industry partners, and of course, the wonderful clients who make it all possible.

Tucked into a cove in Marblehead, a newly constructed, modern guest house overlooks the water, and shares the new pool with the main house. The guest house nestles into outcroppings of ledge – most of which was blasted away pre-construction. The main living area includes one bedroom with a sitting room and full bath, that can be completely hidden behind an eight-foot custom door composed of reclaimed wood. The living room includes a built-in dining banquette, two sets of oversized Marvin sliding doors on either end of the house, an L-shaped kitchen, a wall of built-in bookcases and pivoting doors of reclaimed wood that hide a TV and a dart board on one end, and the primary suite on the other. Relaxed interiors promote fun.

We’re pleased to announce that Zach Southwick won a Silver PRISM Award for Project Manager of the Year. Zach has been with KCB since 2004, beginning on the carpentry staff and rising to become an award-winning Project Manager.

“Zach exemplifies team KCB with his thoughtful and positive approach to everything he does here. Over the years it’s made me so happy to watch him grow from a young apprentice into an accomplished project manager and mentor to so many,” says Kevin Cradock.
